My debut :-)
] Kathryn
Spiers has kindly resurrected the RTW mailing list and passed it
on to me. In both an effort to keep Startrek's tradition alive
and to keep the posse of piss heads together, we have
decided that the RTW will carry on under the guise of : 'Not the Round
the World' - alias NRTW. For those of you who don't know me, I have
been bestowed the honour of keeping the monthly ritual an
on-going event. The occasion will be moved to the last Friday of
every month. So I hope you can all make the July NRTW . |

The
Prince of Wales : @8.30pm
– 12.00am The
Min @12.30 onward |
I think we can safely say that the 1st Nrtw was a stonking success judging by the surge in Guiness/Carlton United share prices that soon followed. The headcount was around 25 persons or so. I humbly apologise to those who where mildly offended (including Startrek himself) by the removal of Startrek from my Nrtw emailing list. As you can see he's back on the list. (Sorry Andy !!). Well, I hope you guys will be able to join me for round two ! |

Ladies
& Gents, It's
that time of the month again ! - I was intending to hold the Nrtw on the
Saturday following the last Friday of this month, to coincide with the
AFL final, however I have been dissuaded from doing this for two reasons
: a)
Several people are going to the final, possibly including myself. b) It's a good excuse for two piss-ups in a row. |

Dear
All, Judging
by the success of the previous Nrtw, with a turnout exceeding 25, I am
inclined to be a bit cockier and venture into uncharted territory by
scheduling this month's Nrtw on 27th Saturday - yes, Saturday ! If you
are an ardent stalwart you may well gasp in shock & horror. But what
the hell, let's break out from the old routine a tad. Apart from that, I
have 2 bloody good reasons to schedule it for Saturday : a)
I am buggering off to see Powder Finger in concert on Friday, (
and for those of you who have slightest notion of expecting me to hold
it on Friday b)
We can have a lunchtime start at a beer garden. What time &
where I hear you scream in sheer jump-up-and-down excitement !!!???? Hope
to see the ever increasing turnout. - This will be a good one if
everyone turns up !! |

Ladies
& Gentlemen, I
apologise for the belated anouncement of the next Nrtw. Well, the daring
step of starting the previous Nrtw at 2pm on a Saturday payed off, with
the continous arrival & departure of attendees during a 12 hour
stint. Some of the more hardened & commendable attendees lasted the
whole sitting, with a change of scenary at 12am by moving to The Rainbow
(around the corner from The Napier). We'll
probably be going downstairs at around 11pm. - Pretty cool down there,
if you havent yet experienced it ! |

Christmas Nrtw - if you hadn’t noticed ] Sorry,
sorry, sorry for the belated email to all non-RLMers ! I've
booked a table for 10 for those interested in Dinner. Unfortunately,
almost all the places are filled. But they might be able to squeeze a
few more diners in if you are passionate about joining us on the sit-in. |
